You can download a wallpaper changer – there are several free ones but I've always found them a bit fiddly to configure or they just crash after a while. You will have to find one you like best. Some can only change images every so often; some every few seconds.

An example is Wallpaper slideshow LT

it places an icon in the system tray which you can click to get the settings; you can also quickly disable or enable the slideshow. By default it loads its own images – you can add your own images too from say Pictures – or if you want to add the PC's own wallpapers, go to C:WindowsWebWallpaper.

In settings, once you have added the images you want, make sure all images are selected (right click>select all) and that "fit to screen" is selected too

The program seems to run well in Vista and it's free. Home page -

Microsoft has a free and safe wallpaper changer that downloads images from the web – check it out here

    Good luck and have fun!

As a point of interest, Windows 7 lets you create your own wallpaper slideshows.
